Writing New Songs.

It's a challenge writing new songs. But it is a good way to move forward.

On Monday November 9th is the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. i thought i would post a song i wrote when i was in Berlin in 1984. It was a Cold November day and i remember thousands of Ravens flying around this stormy Wall. You could feel the tension.
The song was recorded by my band Tulpa in the 1980's on the LP Mosaic Fish.

Crosses on the Berlin Wall.

Soldier standing with a gun
shadows fall departing sun
Iron Curtain painted gray
black silhouette handshake away
damp autumn cold wind blows
Bang bang bang here we go

Crosses on the wall
Crosses on the wall

Foggy ruins in the distance
flock of ravens no expectation
checkpoint charley western glow
barbed wire fence gray stone road
born in a prison freedoms a crime
price of freedom
could cost you a lifetime

Crosses on the wall
Crosses on the wall

Psychedelic graffiti-Tombstone Moss
High fashion Mannequin-stray dogs
"Tiny purple fishes run laughing through your fingers"
